Vintage Lot of 5 Alfred Meakin Audubon BIRDS OF AMERICA Salad/Luncheon Plates

Description

This is a set of 5 luncheon plates made by Alfred Meakin in London. These plates are based and reproduced from the Elephant Folio Edition of Audubon's Bird's of America. The back states this information along with 'Endorsed by National Audubon Society New York" along with the name of the bird feature. Below is a list of the birds included in this set and any issues (if any they may have). All of them do present crazing which is expected with age and some do have a little staining which I will point out and attempted to photograph. There are no chips or cracks on these plates.
I do have 7 more of these plates (duplicates) listed on a separate auction (unless they have sold).
Plate# 18 - Bewick's Wren (staining throughout the plate)
Plate# 79 - Kingbird (some staining above the bird with something in it's beak)
Plate# 367 - Band-Tailed Pigeon
Plate# 168 - Fork-Tailed Flycatcher (small scratch in paint on upper tail)
Plate# 43 - Cedar Bird
